Something To Remember (For Real)

Gotta let go. If you don't, you'll never spring forward to what is waiting for you. See you in college, but solely as Iniquity...

Before I slip away into the arms of unconsciousness for reasons unexplained
There are certain truths to be unearthed, as I’ve lost at playing the game.
Words may mean nothing, but yours have taught me more than I could have imagined for.
And despite their warnings, I have fallen as a victim to the innocence I dared to adore.

As you clean the fog off of my mirror of evidence, leading to treason,
Can you explain how a man holding on to his word is much more than a reason
But to ensure your season lasted more, and they wouldn’t wait outside your dorm door
Or on top of a hill with verbal annihilations to eviscerate your innocent thrill?

Be still my beating heart every time I wanted to help
Gaining chills at the thought of allowing someone else to be their own self.
Pathetic. Wishing all the best for you, as I sit writhing in silence
Or do I dare uncap the lid so Pandora can tell the truth of your vibrance?

They threatened violence against you, so I took to deflect the hits.
Even though unwarranted, at least no metal bat interrupted your kiss
But before I could check again, it seemed all my concerns lay strewn.
As you shot yourself in the foot, now the news will be coming soon.

So prepare. You asked me to keep this shielded from prying eyes.
I did. Broke bonds of trust when asked. But it’s all a pack of lies.
Don’t disguise your innocence, as it to the world you have fed.
Just know I kept my promise, and am taking your secret to my deathbed.

Forbidden Love...

D.O.I.'s Neologisms: Just feeling my way through again. Something's going down in California. A Sinkhole exists in Boston. I hate the beach. Friends don't exist when you need them the most. What's up with that? Why can't people live up to the messages they leave them for life? Yes, because their love is forbidden. I can't love you. They say I can't. Fuck what they say, though.

The ground beneath me shakes in denial
Ripping souls through bullet holes is not my style
My amorous appetite hasn’t filled up for a while
And my vocal cords, the emulation of a child

Will lay waste to this crooked road
Using weapons of truth that have been bestowed
Cracking under the debt and burden that I owe
My skin assimilates further as I lose my flow.

I’m forever predestined to keep on testing
They’re messing with my path and my body is stressing
Over their road that blares with sirens
To the penitentiary is where we’re firing

When I know damn well we’re so much higher than
This circle where we stay, I grow so tired
And each street-hopping lyric doesn’t get me inspired
Show me your knowledge or be engulfed by my ire!

You have to display where this love belongs
Or else locked in the radio playing the same song
Forget what you know, the dream has moved on
Even the rap mogul admits that he’s grown

Come find me again when responsibility is taken
And from these earthly chains we are shakin’
I’ll be raring from the stereotypes we’re brakin’
Daring to admit my freedom isn’t for the takin’

It’s golden with my name engraved
So from your destruction I emerge unscathed
I’m still mad as hell, but ready to fight back
Treading away from Sodom with my foot on a crack

Using a semblance of ingenuity with the force of a smack.
Sharing with you my dreams, but preparing to attack!
