Impressive Instant

D.O.I.'s Neologisms: The image I present to you with this piece is not Abercrombie-centric or endorsed. It doesn't have divisions among the stomach and won't be projected on your billboards. It has trouble finding a place for itself on a beach full of confident bums. It's of a small kid, flaws and all, trying his best to have fun on a vacation, and thinking of a good way to introduce himself.

I’m contemplating another way to formally
Introduce the abnormally
Façade ripping, wall smashing
Conscious of what’s happening
Eradicator of the saddening
Willing to expand his scope
And range of friends to joke
About what they seem to dart around
Like if noting the obvious is seemingly profound

What I’ve found is the bass pounding
Is a part, but not the whole of my repertoire
After all, one quality doesn’t define who we are
Especially when the pioneer refers to everyone as a star
Including the ones who subdue under humility
And can’t show flesh for humiliating fear

But watch courageous souls take monumental leaps
Drawing nearer to the courage we keep
Further from the abstract, just chilling on the beach
Giving the finger to those in the past who leeched
Off of my self-confidence: no more singers
and too much skin-bleach

They try to defeat but end up resurrecting
The spirit whose only goal in life is dissecting
Why I’m so hung up on impressions
Demonstrating life lessons so this game I don’t question
And you don’t question whether or not to approach my being
Based on the pre-fabricated image you are seeing.

Like A Dream

It’s like a dream.
A heavenly melody drawing me closer to the streams
You’ve led to the seams of my door.
I’m still begging for more.

Though I want to without inhibition.
So I listen slowly to your touch controlling
Got my mind rolling, my friend, I am devoting.
Soaring on your wings of massages and forgiveness.
This is bliss.

An unending quest to be-long means belonging to
The patience you imbue and the
Trials we can’t undo.
Just laying with a smile on my face I’ve accrued
A sense of happiness to say “I do
like your company.”

Honestly
Waking up to a humble policy
We are so damn arbitrary,
As the tones of a canary
But you are my fairy. So lead me on

The search for the flower, strong it goes
I’ll throng my arms around you until you are my ghost.
So a toast to a relation no less than divine.
It’s like a dream now because the world is mine.

Confronting The Darkness

D.O.I.'s Neologisms: I just had a rare moment, where I was studying for a calc test. Suddenly, I felt the urge to punch something. I did so, but lyrically instead. This is unpolished, imperfect. And I've been feeling down and out of luck lately due to ignorant oppression. But that's exactly how I'll feel when I confront this elephant:

The elephant in the room is about to be shot
Time will tell all when I yell stop.
All your fears are about to “get got”
So strip them off, leave them in the parking lot.

I’m done being a robot to your social scheme.
Making me think I don’t matter like a dancing queen.
You show your desire to be as brave
As me who winds down in a conscious rave.

You must pay for your inept behavior.
Teens all over the world suffer from your danger
We are major and we’re gaining rights.
Don’t need pipes, just the will to fight.

Night has dawned, there’s nowhere to turn.
For your oppression, oh shall you burn.
The cult behind me will not further discern.
This lesson taught to us that you need to learn.

Forget what they planted in your feeble brain
A new day opens up with falling conscious rain
You’ve trained officials to command with pain,
But look around, bitch! We’re on to your game.

Hands held high, the darkness will cease
Hatred across the sky no longer released
I see your feet shaking, you’re no longer steady.
It’s a new world order, are you ready?

The elephant in the room is about to die.
50 million people no longer asking why.
Parents and friends, best friends of people
Call forth your divinity so we can live equal.

I see it forming. The new chain of life.
Down with destruction, end moral strife!
Gather all the hearts that have been broken
Take them to the light so they can open

And no longer be frozen. It’s a world full of love.
The one desired by those up above.

I wake up. It isn’t real.
Just a dream of a place where I can finally heal.

The Lost Book Of Rhymes: Response

D.O.I.'s Neologisms: If relationships don't work over long distances, can creativity? The answer, like most, is yet to be determined....

Strategist of starving governments, I be this.
Will never leave this fight. Known are my secrets.
Believe this, from the glow, I will never feel guilt.
My words are balanced stilts, Raging towers I’ve built.

Sewing into symmetric patches I quilt.
Then people don’t vote. They don’t change this mythology.
My people go broke, then create a new philosophy.
But in history, we created anthropology.

Stand up, speak loud, no more promoting hate.
Under our regime, countries fold under rape.
The state of our fate will subdue the will to act.
We won’t commit harm, but make up for what they lack.

They keep us down ‘cause they think we’re feeble.
We rain from the heavens, converting all that’s evil.
From rooftops, we’re strong, on negativity we bomb.
To respond, react, this revolution must respawn!

So it's easy to hide behind our previous attempts at compiling a message. But when the time comes to stand firm on your plateau, and the ground has been removed from you, is it easy to go back and find support? If you disappear with the earth, the answer is no. But if someone holds out their hand, you have a probability of being successful. Here's hoping you're successful.

The Lost Book of Rhymes: All I Got

D.O.I.'s Neologisms: Inspired by Amel Larrieux-

Got a voice. It’s made to choice. And it sure knows how to speak.
Got a mouth that doesn’t head for the south, and sure knows how to eat.
Got these hands that form democracy, and they know just how to make.
Got 7 miles to run, and I know the direction to take.

Got these eyes, don’t know the color, but they might be hazel-brown.
Got this heart, doesn’t know it’s lover, but is able to spread love around.
Got some feelings, that want to kick down the doors of hipocracy.
Got a fire, forever kindled, they will forever be proud of me.

Got these legs, filled with a stride, from them I spring quite far.
Got a different mindstate, never promoting hate, that show just who we are.
Got my people on either side, sharing a goal we seek.
Got inspiration, never-ending dedication, as we step up this technique.

This is what I do on a daily basis.
Be proud of the things in my oasis.
My job is to get the down to inspire.
Get the lame on their feet to make them liver.

From my fingers produce cool soul.
Got a theme, and I’ll give it as I’m told.
This is all I’ve got, and all I will have.
Advocating forever, as I hold my staff.

The Lost Book Of Rhymes: Deja Vu

D.O.I.'s Neologisms: Rhymes that didn't make it to the Neologism Project, but somehow, I still have the lyrics for:

65,000, over 50 percent.
1 trillion dollars that we have spent.
A system started to shred us into pieces.
Our moral fabric exponentially decreases.

Take a look in the cells, it’s disproportionate
That I’ve escaped their wrath is quite fortunate.
The judges have been bribed to give sentences untrue.
But to my brothers, it’s just déjà vu.

Hard times fall on project windows.
In the world of drugs they have to fiddle.
I don’t support the joining of the crack game.
Yet, it’s the only method for them to gain.

Monetary funds to pay to universities.
Looking down the cell blocks, I see no diversity.
One could say the Rockefeller Drug Laws
Were as biased to our people as the grandfather clause.

Panic! This kid walking down the thoroughfare.
His burden forced him to stop and stare
At sirens, blue and red, a baton to his head.
Down to the station, he is good as dead.

Yes, he was guilty, but did he have an option?
Eviction soon, so he makes this concoction.
No story he gives them will make these people listen.
Now he’s a member of the New York Prison System.

Human rights are gone, even the right to vote.
Blood gushes from his lips, as no words he spoke.
Just an hour outside, but still no daylight.
He can no longer read, so for justice, he can’t fight.

Synonymous with most men in big cities.
Ecstasy, cocaine, winds with drugs thrifty
Just find their path to young minorities.
To our government, they give their authority.

Don’t get me wrong, but this is not an opinion.
If we’re not dodging bullets, life’s game we’re not winnin’.
Will it ever change? Not for this nature.
These prisons are crowded, and still will be later.

Unfinished, these jail bars complete.
Men forget their bind, but many suffer defeat.
When every day, an apartment suffers a raid
Tell me, when will my people be saved?

Path To The Great Escape

D.O.I.'s Neologisms

They will hunt you down to track my presence.
Use vile methods to eliminate your convalescence Split an atom open to break the bond of essence
Existing solely by our coexistence.

Finally, my escape plan is finished.
I can trudge away from those who diminish
My family issues, decibels and bloody tissues
Facades planted on when you know they cannot miss you.

And there’s no more issue of if I should depart
You have to be the farmer to cultivate my heart
Arms stretched out to catch me when I descend
I truly believe you will be there until the end

But adversity exists on both of our sides
My treehouse is demolished, so there’s nowhere to hide
I despise deceit, but it must be done
And a part of your social class, I must become.

I’m not afraid to travel when I’m miles away
If it means you send a smile my way
My success depends on your hospitality
So rescue me before I turn to another fatality

Unexpected. I am unrested
I need your support and I know you have guessed it
I’ll leave out my hand for someone to take
I hope it’d be yours to change my fate

I'm calling you now, and I hope you recieve
The desire to give me the support I believe.
Only you and I, coexisting, can achieve.

Nothing Really Matters

D.O.I.'s Neologisms:

In their moment, nothing really mattered
Love came on in just dreams
All they were blessed to given,
They had to dig deep to find what it means.

Nothing would eradicate their past
Like the trials to come
Celebrating their success at last
Meant that their work was done.

And while the world chooses to stare
And comment so uninformed
They're applauded for the efforts they dared
Togetherness is unceasingly warm

They didn't turn the bond away
Just to keep their appearance
Although at first both were afraid
Of dying from interference

An endless circle formed by their dance
Could be the reason why they sing
And they deserve forever to be in a trance
Otherwise known as their beautiful thing.

Mr. Stress (Part 2)

D.O.I.'s Neologisms:

Hi, monkey. Something is breeding
I’m bleeding words as I’m feeling lost
At the most immense cost without your protective
Glance, as you took a chance to elevate your wings.

You sure do know the light your company brings
And the limit of things not important around us
Just elevates my feeling of trust around you
You’re dear to the heart I’ve again found

But slowly my ground is evaporating
Dissipating from your non-existent presence
As so often said, your essence completes me
And defeats my fears, turning them into gifts.

But the burning left by your journey
Is set to burst in the form of a cyst
In other words, I greatly miss you
And proclaim I don’t exist without you

I can retreat and find another to cheat
And otherwise die by deflating our beat
But, it’s OUR BEAT. Made by controversy
The new world water we drink when thirsty

As they outcasted us so solemnly easy
It was feasible when your touch was adjacent
To settle me down when I became complacent
I feed off of your cheesy affirmative statements

They serve to advance my abatement
Of a world so dangerously hypocritical
Who would give anything to accelerate my funeral
And without you to sustain:

Complications enter my brain
You make me feel handsome when otherwise ashamed
And glaciers reform when you call my name.
So, is it unreasonable to want to travel to Spain

Snatch you back up from the corporate game
Until into my arms you fall again?
So I don’t spend days waiting for your call again?
Back when doesn’t exist anymore.

It’s just the metaphysical at my door.
And I’m confessing, I can’t take it anymore.
The window forever holds my stare.
Until I turn around and I see you there.
